A TOAST TO CHRISTMAS

Laurent-Perrier’s Écrin Grand Siècle

L-P Grand Siecle

The art of understatement is a fine thing, so this Christmas use a little savoir faire with the limited edition Écrin Grand Siècle gift set designed for the ultimate epicure.

The Écrin Grand Siècle is a stylish case in classic black monochrome, which elegantly holds a Grand Siècle magnum and a collection of six champagne flutes. Delicately handcrafted and blown by fine crystal House Baccarat, the glasses were exclusively commissioned by Laurent-Perrier in 1965. Reintroduced in this special limited edition, they complement the Grand Siècle bottle to perfection with their pure and slender lines.

Named after the reign of French King, Louis 14th, and bottled in a 17th Century replica bottle design, Grand Siècle by Laurent-Perrier is the epitome of the art of champagne assemblage. It is one of the rare prestige cuvées produced from a ‘marriage’ of vintages, created by blending wines from the finest Grand Cru vineyards from the best vintage years. Aged on its lees for at least five years, Grand Siècle is a remarkable wine with a unique depth, consistency and complexity.

The magnum bottle, as in this limited edition gift, slows the ageing process creating a greater complexity of its subtle honey, hazelnut and roast almond aromas, providing the ultimate tasting experience.

This elegant Écrin Grand Siècle epitomises pure French refinement and luxury, and brings together two traditional Houses renowned for their elite craftsmanship and devotion to quality. Fit for royalty, this gift is a feast for eye and palate - the discerning way to toast an intimate gathering this Christmas.

Notes to editors:
Baccarat - Established in 1765, Baccarat, by the end of the 19th century, had earned the reputation of
being the ‘Crystal of Kings’. Baccarat’s stemware and objects d’art adorned the tables of the late Czar of Russia, the Emperor of Japan, the late Sultan of Turkey, the King of Siam, Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the last three kings of France – Louis XVIII, Charles X, and Louis Philippe.
