Laurent-Perrier Rosé celebrates 40 years

 

 

While students were protesting outside the Sorbonne in Paris in 1968, Champagne Laurent-Perrier was asserting its difference and originality inspired by this spirit of freethinking. The unique cuvée Laurent-Perrier Rosé was born, and a brand new generation of champagne created - the catalyst for the ‘rosé revolution’ experienced in recent years.

The timeless Laurent-Perrier Rosé was introduced by the independence of one visionary man, Bernard de Nonancourt, and his cellar master’s blending expertise. Laurent-Perrier Rosé was designed to be a complete departure from the norm, in style, taste and its consistent quality. Forty years on, this outstanding cuvée is established as the benchmark rosé, to which all others aspire.

Unlike most rosé champagnes, which are produced simply by blending red and white wines, Laurent-Perrier Rosé made using the saignée technique. Highest quality grapes, carefully selected from the finest
Grand Cru vineyards are pressed, and the juice macerated with the skins to produce a rich, salmon-pink hue and full aromatic, red cherry fruit aromas. The result is a rare rosé with unparalleled depth and structure making this a delicious apéritif and an ideal partner for red fruit desserts. More adventurous tasters will try it with Asian cuisine.

The Alexandra Rosé is lee-aged for 5-10 years and exhibits a powerful depth and complexity.
